A huge weight has just been lifted and its name is Windows Firewall.
I have been fighting with my computer on and off for a couple months now and it’s been almost constant since last Wednesday thanks to a new addition. Who says diamonds are a girls best friend? THIS girl wants gadgets and sweet, sweet technology! Anyway, the computer and the tivo’s have not been talking to each other. It’s not too big a deal as the tivo’s can still connect to get their updates. The desktop is hardwired to the wireless and the tivo’s connect via wireless. Long story short is that Windows Firewall had me bent over the whole time and I didn’t even know it. I have McAfee, it has it’s own firewall which I assumed took over Windows firewall. I was getting an error message when I tried to access win firewall which is what made me assume this. I tried everything else so I decided to try uninstalling McAfee. Guess what? I still got the same win firewall error! That’s when I had my revelation.
A little more explanation than I expected but I’m just over the moon with joy as I have been WRACKING MY BRAIN since WEDNESDAY!
Everybody can talk to one another now. If I had money I’d throw myself a party.

I’m officially going back to school. I signed up and gave them money so it’s a done deal now. I don’t know why I put it off for so long but here I did it in the middle of the night. I’ll blame it on sleep deprivation.
Exciting and depressing all at the same time.
Certainly not what I had planned for my life … once upon a time.
I don’t want to end on a downer soooo … wanna hear about my great deal? Went to a scratch and dent sale this weekend and bought this chair in white for $38! Desk chair? Not sure where it will end up yet. Definately going back in November for a tv stand! I saw one there similar to this one in red for $80 and almost came home with it. Glad I resisted the temptation of the deal and a style I like … it wouldn’t match anything I have! Don’t get me wrong, I love the red, I just don’t have any red in my bedroom.

So I’m completely in love with my fancy-ass camera but I still haven’t gotten to know it very well. Translation: lots of buttons to press but not sure what they do. I’m not using it to it’s full potential. I bought a tripod because it’s dawning on me how important it is. Sure it has image stabilization but when you’re zoomed in tight, man is it sensitive and I do not have a steady hand. My current obsessions are macro (but that may always be the case, I’m a bit of a macro freak) and continuous shooting. My old camera had continuous shoot but it sucked, the new camera rawks in that department.
